A Concept Artist is also called as a Conceptual Artist. These artists create visual images of ideas for use in areas such as comic book illustration, gaming, print, animation, and many others. A well-written Concept Artist Resume mentions the following duties and responsibilities – making sure the right visual styles are reflected in each part of the project, creating concept images, designing spec sheets; drawing artwork; collaborating with other members of the art team; designing presentation packages, and rendering quality resources and systematic project management.

While the duties vary from setting to setting, the following are certain core skills required to execute them – hands-on experience in conceptualizing original ideas from storyboard to final design; sound knowledge of production processes; strong knowledge of 2D and 3D content creation programs; and artistic skills. Educational requirements are not strict and include only a degree in graphic design or another artistic stream.
