A NOC Operator is responsible for monitoring operations, servicing servers, network and telecommunication equipment in data centers, and other similar facilities. Work activities carried out on daily basis are listed on the NOC Operator Resume as – monitoring data center infrastructure, servers, computer networks for issues, checking performances of CPU, taking responsibility for network performance, monitoring breaches of service level agreements; updating the clients, vendors and 3rd party providers, inspecting support systems, assessing problems, identifying the problem and troubleshooting it, escalating the issues to the superiors; and continuously monitoring systems through various tools.
Candidates are expected to have an associate’s degree in the field of computer science, information technology, or any other related discipline. Necessary certification such as network + will be helpful. Other crucial skills include conversant with networking protocols; scripting experience in Python, Bash, and Perl; well-versed with the functioning of networking equipment, switches, routers, and firewalls;
