A Practice Support Specialist provides support for customer requests, issues and inquiries reported to Practice Support Service through phone, e-mail, or e-form. Other related duties are listed on the Practice Support Specialist Resume as – collecting information from the customer, initial assessment, research, and providing resolution, completing the necessary research and responding to customer inquiries, educating customers as necessary, addressing and solving customer inquiries and requests, documenting appropriate systems, and solving issues that are beyond the scope of the ability or responsibility; using appropriate categories for logging incidents; creating a positive customer support experience and building strong relationships through deep problem understanding, and adhering to code of conduct and mission and value statements.
To excel in this role, the following skills are needed – comprehensive knowledge of medical billing and collections processes, the ability to multitask, experience with Remedy; excellent customer service, and strong analytical skills, the ability to root cause and solve problems, and mathematical skills. A high school diploma or GED is required. An associate’s degree from an accredited school is preferred.
