Rodman takes charge of setting up and transporting instruments and equipment related to surveying land and prepares the job site for the surveys. While the duties vary based on the requirements of the project, certain core duties are common and are listed on the Rodman Resume as – loading all needed equipment into the vehicles, clearing the brush or trees away from the survey area, laying out stakes and preparing the area of elevation measurements, assisting the surveyor by holding the prism pole, determining the elevations of different points; measuring the points using tapes or electronic equipment; and holding the rod to ensure correct starting point.
