A Salad Bar Clerk works in Salad bars in hotels, and restaurants and is responsible for maintaining the department conditions and safe handling during the preparation of products sold in the salad bar. Essential job functions are listed on the Salad Bar Clerk Resume as – maintaining appropriate bar and display conditions by filing, and cleaning and rotating products, greeting customers and providing them samples, preparing product with proper washing, cutting, peeling, and slicing procedures, ensuring that proper temperatures are maintained in the display case, checking refrigeration equipment for proper performance regularly, and performing all duties as needed.
The minimum required qualification for this role include the following – proficiency in cutting, and carving, basic math skills, the ability to stand and work for a long time, stamina to work in varying temperatures, the ability to tolerate dust and chemical agents, and the ability to adhere to safety protocols while cutting and shaping vegetables using sharp objects. A high school diploma or GED is sufficient to enter this occupation.
