A Weld Technician is a skilled welder who cuts and joins metals and other materials at the facility and construction sites. The job duties commonly described on the Weld Technician Resume are – operating appropriate equipment and putting together mechanical structures and parts; reading blueprints and drawings, taking and reading measurements and planning layouts and procedures; determining the welding equipment or method based on requirements; setting up components for welding as per specifications; operating angle grinders to prepare the parts that need to be welded; aligning components using calipers, rulers and clamp pieces; welding components using welding equipment, and maintaining equipment in proper conditions.
